Community Art Project & Imagination Market

Wendy Gardner will be facilitating a Community Art Project where you can create a 3D piece of art to be included on a mobile as an art installation. You can bring a pre-made piece of art to be hung from the mobile, or come down to Hope Bay Studio between 10am and 6pm and create something.

Join Lester Quitzau and his multi Juno award
winning band, Tri-Continental as they kick off the festival

10am beach

Morning Yoga

Start the day right with morning yoga on the dock beside Hope Bay. Jenny Montgomery will be leading a Hatha yoga class suitable for all levels and open to anyone with a Saturday ticket or Weekend Pass. The class will be held on a first-come-first-served basis, and if there is lots of interest, a second class at 11:30 will be added. Please bring your own mat.

Hoop Flow with Planet Janet

Planet Janet Hoops will be on site doing free hoop and circus activities for kids, and those who are kids at heart. Come join the fun, and learn some new circus skills you can put into practice during The Kerplunks’ set at 1pm!

This multi-award winning band provides a unique live performance with a full four-piece multi-instrumental band, playing a variety of upbeat musical styles that even parents enjoy. You’ll hear engaging songs that get the whole family on their feet moving and joining in on the actions.

2pm Grassy Field

Face Painting & Boat Building

Get your face painted by the lovely Valentina, and build a wooden boat with Stephen Fairclough! In keeping with the tradition of past Hope Bay Boat Days, Stephen has made pieces for wooden boats that you can put together and decorate, and take to Hope Bay to test them out.

3pm Beach

SUP Demos

Pender Island Kayak Adventures will be doing SUP demos in Hope Bay for anyone with Saturday tickets or Weekend Passes, on a first-come-first-served basis. This is a great opportunity to try stand-up paddle boarding in the beautiful and protected Hope Bay!

Ghostly Hounds

Focusing on themes of love and grief, Francesca Mirai and her band, have evoked adoration from fans across Canada and the United States
