ABOUT MOSAIC

Mosaic Arts & Culture Festival is produced by Ptarmigan Arts, a Pender Island based arts organization that provides workshops, classes and events in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, and filmmaking. The festival is a culmination of Ptarmigan’s mandate, and a celebration of the land and community we are a part of.

In 2024 the festival is moving from its previous home at Hope Bay to the forest behind the Community Hall, generously offered to us by Karl Hamson. In this new site we will have more space for the mainstage, a dedicated kids area, beer garden, artisan market and even camping!

OUR HISTORY

The Mosaic Arts & Culture Festival had its first year back in 2019 after a nine year hiatus – and was promptly postponed in 2020 in light of the pandemic, only to be back in full swing in 2021 with live music performances, emerging youth performers, and lots of arts and nature-based activities for the whole family.

The Mosaic Festival took off where Hope Bay Boat Days left off. Hope Bay Boat Days began in 2012 as a celebration of wooden boats, art, music and community and ran for five years with its last year in 2017. We are grateful for all the support of the businesses at Hope Bay in our five years running the festival on the site.

And now, we get to play at our new location in the pine forest behind the Pender Community Hall!
